The other night I decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies, and since Sophia is in that stage where she wants to help or do by herself I thought this was a great opportunity for some “mommy & daughter” bonding.
At first Sophia wanted to just dump everything in, no measuring or anything. Then after I explained we had to follow the instructions, she was a pro! I gave her the right measuring cup or spoon, she put the ingredients in, I scraped off or added as needed and then she dumped it in the bowl. We made a perfect team!
She even helped with the mixer, we had so much fun!
It got a little to late for her to help scoop all of them onto the cookie sheet, but she did get to try one of the cookies she made.
She loved well, lets just say she had more fun making them, then eating them! (I wish I didn’t like sweets like her!)
